The Castle-an-Dinas hillfort consists of four ramparts, with the outermost accompanied for much of its length by a ditch. The position is not easily defensible but it does have a very good view. In the 18th Century it was recorded that the centre still contained the stone foundations of Iron Age roundhouses but the stone has since been robbed and probably now forms part of Roger's Tower.
